📚✨ Local sixth-grader Loralei Donoway hit a home run with her creativity! Out of a sea of of creativity from 100+ schools, Lorelei’s design swam to the top, beating out tens of thousands of other bookmarks! 🏆 Her baseball-themed bookmark design, featuring the Delmarva Shorebirds' mascot Sherman learning to play ball through reading, won the "Hit The Books" contest. Talk about making waves in the world of reading! 🌊📚 ⚾️

🎉 Surprise! Loralei thought it was just another school day, but a pep rally revealed her as the champion among thousands of entries. 😮 Her winning design will now inspire young readers across the Delmarva Peninsula. That's what we call a page-turner of an achievement! 📖🏅

As the reigning bookmark queen, Loralei's next pitch will be on the mound! She'll throw the first ball at Berlin Intermediate's "Hit The Books" night with the Shorebirds. From art class to baseball diamond, this young artist is proving that when you read, you can knock it out of the park in life! 🌟📚
