The Berlin Beer Company and its tasty sidekick, The Street Kitchen, scored a $20,000 façade grant from The Maryland Dept of Housing & Community Development💰🏠 It's like extreme makeover: historic building edition!

Here's the scoop:

🏛️ Location, Location, Location! The duo nabbed 115 Broad Street, a real blast from the past! 🚂 This 1930s gem has worn many hats:

• Freight train station 🚉

• Farm supply store 🌾

• Seafood joint 🦀

Now? It's getting a hoppy new lease on life! 🍺

🔨 Renovation Station Adam Davis (the beer boss) and his crew are giving this oldie-but-goodie some TLC. Safety first, but history's a close second!

• Locally brewed beer (obviously!) 🍺

• Wine for the grape lovers 🍷

This grant isn't just about beer and tacos (though that sounds pretty great). It's part of a bigger plan to spruce up downtown Berlin. The Globe and Gilbert Provisions also got a slice of the renovation pie! 🥧

Next time you're strolling down Broad Street, keep an eye out for the shiny new (old) building. It's where history meets hops!

OC's Culinary Gems! 🤤💎

There was a time when Ocean City's taste buds were doing the twist! 🕺💃 The late 1960s saw two restaurant stars shining bright on Philly Ave:

🌴 The Samoa: Your seaside escape between 22nd and 23rd!

🍝 Mario's: Where locals got their year-round pasta fix!

In '69, The Samoa said "Aloha!" to a new spot 2 blocks north. 🏄‍♂️ Now? It's serving up sunscreen instead of sundaes as a Sunsations store! 🧴😎

But Mario's? Oh mama mia! 🤌 For over 50 years, it was THE place for: 🥩 Sizzling steaks 🍕 Mouthwatering Italian ❤️ And a whole lotta local love!

Sadly, on Sept. 24, 2005, Mario's served its last plate of pasta. 😢🍝 The building said "arrivederci" soon after, making way for... a parking lot. 🚗
